Edinburgh is the capital city of Scotland and often nicknamed the Athens of the North. The unique character of the city led to two of the districts being named a World Heritage Site in 1995, and along with the annual four week long Edinburgh Festival, it has an incredible amount of culture going for it. BiCon last visited Edinburgh in 1999, and we’re looking forward to returning as we head into our third decade.
We’ll be kindly hosted by the John Macintyre Conference Centre (JMCC) which is run by part of the University of Edinburgh. The BiCon team, in consultation with previous organisers, has chosen this venue because it’s the most physically accessible and suitable venue in Scotland at this time.
We will have exclusive use of the conference centre itself on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There will be other people using the overnight accommodation and dining areas.
For full information about the venue, please see the JMCC website.
The address of the venue is:
18 Holyrood Park Road
